GOA to Bangalore Bus service

I decided to go by Bus from GOA to Bangalore. I choose sea Bird Bus service, its a sleeper coach. We started around 5:45 from Panaji and everything looks good, till the time I realized that Bus is running without dynamo. That means electrical system in the Bus is not working, hence head lights, all lights are simply not working. This is really terrible, but what to do, I have to reach Bangalore and have to go to Office. I was not alone and my wife was with me. Though I have heard lots of stuff about Bus service between GOA to Bangalore, I mean all difficulties people have faced but still thought to try Bus service as air fare has alerady gone up and train schedule is not as per our convenience. This time, i really have problem. How can you go by a bus without headlights in a high way. On top of that there are some NCC students from some Chugly college, madgaon travelling to Bangalore and making all noises and blowing the whole bus into a sound valley without a music director :D. The story did not end there. Anyway after 70kms, our bus was following another Bus, I mean friendly Bus to get direction at night as other Bus's headlight was working. After following the Bus about 30 mins, it stopped in a Gas station. There were some mechanics sent by owner of the Bus to fix the dynamo issue. After another 1 hour or so, finally all electrical system in the Bus started working. Thank GOD, finally we started moving to Bangalore.

Bangalore Auto : King of Bangalore streets

Sometimes, I really think what is the meaning of etiquette especially when you drive in the Indian streets especially currently booming cities like Bengaluru(Bangalore). Its well understood that these cities are densely populated and on the top, there are construction works for Metro is going on. Educated peoples like me hate to break traffic rules but giving the current state of road conditions, if you stick to rules and netiquettes then I think you would be the last person in any traffic jam. Everybody wants to reach @ destination as early as possible. No care whether the fellow bike or car is disturbed. First of all autos, three wheeler commercial vehicles, dont care or maybe dont know what is traffic rule and what is etiquette to be maintained while driving in a road. These people dont care about road condition, they stop their vehicle anywhere they want. If you complain they started arguing with you. They park their vehicle anywhere they want, no regard or ignorant about the congestion. This is a menace which should be controlled by Govt.
On top of that they dont go by govt prescribed fare and they generally charge more. Think about this from the perspective of a daily passenger.
The second issue is, there are a set of people who has very less knowledge or dont know how to behave in traffic. They have only one motto, how to reach destination quickly. But they dont realize with their lack of respect to fellow vehicle makes them more late to destination.

The third set of peoples are learners, two wheelers, water tankers, bullock carts.
As per rule, Learners vehicles should not be there in street during peak time i.e. after 7:00AM till 7:00PM but still you can find these vehicles even @ 10:00AM which is making congestion more irritating. First of all these learners block the narrow road and they even dont know how to safe drive.

Calls, calls , calls....How to get rid of unsolicited calls

It was Saturday, after noon. I was taking rest after a good lunch. As it is weekend, hence I was in deep sleep. And suddenly my mobile phone starts ringing. I saw it was a unknown number but still I picked it and realized that this is an automated call from Vodaphone. I really got so much irritated....the whole Saturday was spoiled....
Supreme court of India recently passed a judgment that customers should not have any unsolicited calls from anybody for commercial purpose, be it credit card, or marketing purpose etc... But do our Bank agents follows these instructions. This is not the first time I have irritated by such kind of calls, there are numerous instances where peoples are getting unsolicited calls from Bank agents for credit cards, personal loans, etc... Recently I was reading a news in which a judge was getting a call from ICICI bank credit card agent for personal loan, inside the court room.... :D and later ICICI bank was reprimanded by the same judge. If people in higher posts are also victim of such unsolicited calls then why should general public like me should complaint...
In my mobile phone I have created a set of users with "silent" ring tone and all these numbers from Banks/Mobile phone customer care numbers have added to these "ignore" list. But still especially automated calls from Vodaphone are not able to track as they change the number too frequently. I am so much irritated with these calls, sometimes I really threaten them to go to consumer court. But still these agents do not care and they keep on calling, till the time you answer their calls.
The worst part is, if you deny that you are not interested for any credit card/personal loan/mobile connection, these agents try to explain you the benefit of such offers. If you ask them how did they got the number and more details about such agents, they simply disconnect the call...
Just trying to know is thre any end to these unsolicited calls. May be if anybody from NGO takes this matter to court/Govt officials then I can think of some sort of solace to general public from these calls.

How Loan recovery agents impact tourism

Well you must be surprised, that how recovery agents are impacting tourism industry. But it really impacts and as drops of water make ocean same thing one bad incident getting over hyped will create a problem for booming travel industry in India. This is a fact which has always gets condemnation from all corner of govt but still these loan recovery agents recruited by financial institution are really a matter of concerns. Generally these agents are kinds of goons whose sole motive is to earn money.
There is an incident happened with me which is so much horrified that I would think twice before renting any vehicles from any travel agency. Recently I had been to Orissa and decided to visit some tourist places. Hence I rented one vehicle from local travel agent. My whole family and my sis family were together, hence we rented an Innova.
We were in our way to tourist place called Kapilas(A famous holly place in the bank of river Mahanadi in central orissa. This place is famous for Lord Shiv and situated around 2000 feet above sea level. This is also a famous summer retreat camp). Anyway in the way, we were near to a city called cuttack and suddenly three people in a bike stopped the vehicle. We thought them kind of thief or anti-social people. I really got scared as I was with family. One of these three, took over the driver seat and told us that they are loan recovery agents from a private financial institution called Magna finance and as the owner of the vehicle has not paid EMI from last five months, hence magna finance has recruited them to take the vehicle and force the owner to pay the EMI.
Then these rowdy looking agents started driving the vehicle towards Bhubaneswar and told us that after some formalities, they will release the vehicle. I was really scared at this moment, because we are getting late, my niece was sick and Kapilas was situated in a dense forest.

I started arguing with them and told them that they cannot simply put the tourists in trouble and asked them to show their ID card. One of them shown me an ID card which was already expired in 2008, Jan. My bro-in-law asked them where is the valid ID card and the agent told that it is in file.
I have taken the snap of that ID card using my iPhone. After lots of argument with these agents, finally the agent who was driving the car, arranged another innova for us. And finally we could able to go kapilas with a new vehicle.

This was really a nightmare for me and I will never ever again hire a cabin orissa. Just wanted to share with all of you. Be careful before hiring any cab, who knows the owner of cab might have bought the cab using loan and in the middle of journey a loan recovery agent will bug you.
